You don't really need to take a college course just to learn how to use the computer. He should also be an expert in different models of computers - there are mainframes and personal computers (like desktops and notebooks). His knowledge on how to trouble shoot when the computer's mechanism bogs down is valuable. Meticulous hands, a passion for detail and a good head for computer circuitry is what will be required of you if this is the field you prefer.

Software on the other hand is the lifeblood of a computer. These are the operating systems that make a computer function. Computer literacy begins with knowing the basic programs like word processing and excel worksheets. An instructor should be able to educate you on these simple basic programs before teaching you the more complicated ones. A very logical mind combined with patience and passion for teaching is a must if you decide to be an in instructor in software programming.
